The Northeast Area of Colorado Springs was started over thirty years ago. Some of the homes were constructed then, but many more are under construction today. There are a variety of larger lots in more mature neighborhoods to choose from, or there are smaller lots in the newer neighborhoods (which is where these new homes are being built). Although this area is a bit more removed from I-25, residents are still able to get to Academy and Powers with relative ease. The Northeast Area also has a good selection of restaurants and stores close by.

The Northeast School Districts are Academy District 20 and Colorado Springs District 11.
