Old Colorado City was the original territorial seat for all of Colorado. The area has so much history and tradition, it is a wonderful place to visit. Many streets are lined with homes that are over 100 years old. The residents host a weekly outdoor market during the summer, a St. Patrick's Day Parade, Frontier Days, etc. Tourists often make it a point to see Old Colorado City so they can visit the selection of quaint shops and unique restaurants. Old Colorado City is near downtown and has easy access to I-25. It is also next to Manitou Springs which offers its own interesting attractions.

The Old Colorado City School District is Colorado Springs District 11.
