The Powers Corridor is one of the most rapidly growing areas in Colorado Springs. Of the original larger subdivisions, most homes were built in the 80s. There are over 10 builders working in the area now to add to the master planned community. The neighborhoods are all close to Powers Blvd. and Marksheffel Rd. which offer quick access to stores like SuperTarget, Safeway, Michael's, Kohls, etc. There are many good restaurants, two golf courses, a movie theatre and an IMAX theatre, as well. Many of the neighborhoods along Powers (especially the newer ones) are covenant controlled and have smaller lot sizes for easy exterior maintenance. You'll find that many of your neighbors have children and quite a few are military families. The Powers School Districts are Falcon District 49 and Colorado Springs District 11.
