Tamarron at Rockrimmon This area is on Colorado Springs' northwest side that is more commonly referred to as simply Rockrimmon. This neighborhood is more mature than some others in the area. The homes can be described as handsome, larger and relatively affordable. Many of the residents of this Rockrimmon neighborhood work on the Garden of the Gods high-tech corridor. It is an excellent planned community that was developed about 25 years ago to handle the northern growth of the city. You will find a large variety of well-established homes, newly built homes, condos and town homes. Originally developed in the mid-1970s, this area is still growing and offers close-in shopping and professional services as well as club facilities, parks and playgrounds. As one drives into the development, most streets lead up the ridges into sections of homes that cannot be seen from below. As an area with enforced building covenants, Rockrimmon stands out as a model development. It is located west of I-25 and extends north from Rockrimmon Blvd. to Woodmen Road.
