Railroad at the county line border with Douglas County. It was incorporated in 1889 and elects a mayor and city
council. It has a town marshal and a volunteer fire department. Many of the homes in Palmer Lake are older,
reflecting the rich tradition extending back to the turn of the century. One of the Tri-Lakes communities in northern El Paso County. Became increasingly popular during the past 15 - 20 years as a scenic bedroom community that provided refuge from 9-5 jobs in Colorado Springs.
