Woodmoor is situated on the east side of I-25 and set back several miles in rolling, wooded surroundings. Many people prefer this area because it is about as close to mountain living as you can get without the remoteness of some mountain communities. Woodmoor is just a few miles from the Monument exit and entrance to I-25. The commuting time to Colorado Springs is 15 minutes and to Denver is 40 minutes. Once inside the community, the road pattern is designed to conform to the rolling terrain, which maximizes the beauty and natural vegetation in the area. Many passive solar homes dot the area, as the plentiful sunshine (275 days per year) compensates for the cooler temperatures found at this 7,000+ foot elevation. The Woodmoor Country Club, a social and recreational asset for the community, features tennis courts, a swimming pool and an 18-hole golf course. This large development has homes ranging in price from about $300,000 to one million.

Woodmoor is one of the Tri-Lakes communities, along with Monument and Palmer Lake. You'll find bigger, more expensive homes on large lots; homeowners who used to drive to Colo. Springs now have nearby shopping and recreation.
